With a three-week break between races, you'd expect most drivers to hang up their race suits and take some well-earned rest and relaxation ahead of the season's final push. McLaren's Jenson Button has other ideas, however, and this weekend will take part in the world famous London Triathlon.
The annual event, which takes place over Saturday and Sunday, attracts 11,000 entrants making it the largest triathlon in the world. It encompasses a demanding 1500-metre swim, a 40-kilometre bike ride and a 10-kilometre run. Button - a regular triathlon competitor - took part in the event last year and impressively finished second in his age category.
Although an ideal way to boost his fitness for Grands Prix, the British driver has even nobler reasons for competing as he'll be raising money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The 30 year-old is a patron of the charity, which makes dreams a reality for young people fighting life-threatening illnesses.

Rosberg follows Button's triathlon example
Mercedes GP's Nico Rosberg is the latest Formula One driver to catch the triathlon bug. Following Jenson Button's recent outing in the London event, Rosberg was in action in Kitzbuehel, Austria, over the weekend.
In what was his first Olympic-distance triathlon, Rosberg recorded a highly-respectable time of 2h07m23s, which put him 44th overall and 14th in his age group. It compared with Button's London time of 2h14m14s, though the McLaren driver was recovering from a bout of tonsillitis.
The Olympic triathlon is considered one of the toughest tests of sporting endurance and comprises a 1500m swim, followed by a 40km bike ride and a 10km run. The transitions between each stage also form part of the race.
Rosberg completed the swim in 24m43s, the bike ride in 1h02m47s and the run in 36m58s. He admitted the last half of the run was particularly tough, but afterwards described triathlon as his 'new passion'.

25日に買ってきたF1グランプリ特集でしたが、韓国GP大絶賛&山本左近大絶賛でした。
左近の裏話は見てて快感でしたが、韓国GPは…本当に開催されるのだろうか?
スペインのアラゴンに代替開催を要請したという話もありますからね。
ちなみにアラゴンは今年、MotoGPを開催したが、これは、同じく開催予定だったハンガリーGPの代替開催とされた…はず。間違ってたらごめんなさい。
